The Career Resource Library is an online collection of interactive PDF guides, modules and tools to help you prepare your application documents and navigate job and further education interviews.

Some, like Big Interview, can be found on CLNx, while others can be downloaded as PDFs. Read and complete the activities in each guide to develop skills for navigating further education and job searching. You’ll also find samples and commonly asked questions in the guides.

Résumés and interviews

  • The Resume and Cover Letter Module will provide essential knowledge, skills, and practical tools to craft your resume and cover letter in mini-learning modules.
  • Résumé Workbook (PDF) will help you identify your top skills from past experiences and provide a brief overview of the key sections of a résumé and cover letter.

  • Résumé and Cover Letter Toolkit (PDF) has an in-depth overview of the key sections of the résumé and cover letter, along with samples.

  • Interview Strategies Guide (PDF) will help you identify strategies for creating and responding to potential interview questions.

  • Big Interview is an online service that combines training and practice to help you improve your interview skills. Tools include virtual interview practice and video lessons. Find it on CLNx

Career Cruising

Career Cruising is an online source for job descriptions, job application advice and higher education profiles.

GoinGlobal

GoinGlobal is a website with information for anyone interested in working abroad. The site includes detailed country career guides, an international employer directory and job/internship listings.

CLNx Job Board

The CLNx Job Board advertises career-related full-time, academic, part-time and summer positions, work-study and research positions, and volunteer opportunities. Positions can be on or off campus.

Research Catalogue

The Research Catalogue is a “one-stop shop” to learn about research from disciplines across the University of Toronto. You can find descriptions of co-curricular research projects, discover research in various disciplines and contact faculty researchers.

Firsthand

Firsthand is a collection of career guides, job descriptions, data on workplace culture, and information on resume and interview preparation by industry.
